This Long Island wedding was one I never saw coming! I met Sydney and Travis through a past couple of mine that got married the year prior in Peekskill, NY. When I got the inquiry from them I was so excited because I love a good New York City area wedding, and getting the opportunity to visit is something I always look forward too.
From the moment I started photographing, I knew this was going to be a wedding I’ll want to show off forever, and that stands true! Sydney’s thoughtfulness and care for her details made me so excited to get going. She also got me a little gift that melted my heart. She knows I’m a Taylor Swift fan, so she got me some custom merch, and I wear it all the time.
Details aside, they couldn’t have had a more gorgeous day! Theres something about the look of a Hamptons home that makes me want to hang up a photograph of it any chance I get. The RGNY venue space looks so rustic and Hamptons-esque, it couldn’t have been any more perfect. Tiffany was the coordinator and my contact for the day of. I cannot say enough good words about her as a vendor. When working a wedding it always helps to feel like you have a good team of people on your side!
Sydney and Travis chose to have their ceremony outside with the gorgeous backdrop of the winery. Dusk fell perfectly as they made their way back down the aisle as forever partners. From there, we took portraits, enjoyed cocktail hour, and started the most epic reception I have ever been apart of.
Another reason I love a Long Island Wedding is because they get right to the dancing when the reception begins. The energy and the vibes this sets for the night is absolutely spectacular! Sydney enjoyed a sentimental dance with her father, and Travis and his mom opted for a fun salsa dance! They invited everyone to the floor to come join them & I’m so glad I got to photograph it for them!
To end the evening, their dessert vendor was The Treatery! When I say that I have never had a better cookie in my life, I MEAN IT! I want to go back to Long Island just to get another one of these cookies because, wow.
Travis and Sydney are some of the most amazing people I have gotten to work with, and I will forever be talking about your Long Island wedding!
