Acadia National Park // Maine
First up on the list of 7 epic east coast elopement locations: Acadia National Park. The park itself sits on the coast of Maine, on Mount Desert Island. It borders the town Bar Harbor, and the park covers over 47,000 acres in total. There are tons of beautiful elopement locations within the park, as well as nearby venues if you want to celebrate afterwards. You have mountains, braces, rocky coastlines, basically any view that you would need to have the East Coast elopement of your dreams!

Blue Ridge Parkway // North Carolina
Blue Ridge Parkway is truly an experience like no other in the states. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s a 469 mile drive connecting Shenandoah National Park and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It’s world-renowned for its biodiversity, which means it offers some of the most beautiful views you can find! It’s also home to the highest peak in the eastern United States, the oldest river in North America, and the highest waterfall east of the Rockies. There are about a million different ways you can elope along Blue Ridge Parkway, so lucky for you you’ve got me to help you plan it.
White Mountain National Forest // Vermont
When I tell you that the White Mountain National Forest has it all… I mean it. We’re talkin’ 1200 miles of hiking trails, 160 miles of the Appalachian trail, 149,500 acres of wilderness, 67 lakes, and 4 alpine ski areas. The elopement ideas are endless with this national forest, and the scenery is breathtaking! If you elope here in the fall, you have to drive the Kancamagus Scenic Byway that is the most beautiful route through the White Mountains, with autumn foliage for days.
The Adirondack Mountains // New York
Did you know that the Adirondack Mountains are estimated to be over 5 million years old?! I am personally delighted that these mountains are one of the few landmarks that survived the ice age, because it’s truly one of my favorite east coast elopement locations. There are over 3,000 lakes in the Adirondacks, with the region being home to the largest one in North America. To put the size of the Adirondacks in perspective: they’re the size of Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Glacier NP, the Great Smoky Mountains… combined.
Shenandoah National Park // Virginia
This epic east coast elopement location is just 75 miles from the hustle and bustle of Washington D.C. From hiking to camping to white-water rafting to mountain climbing, Shenandoah would be heaven for any couple wanting to plan an adventure elopement! There’s a 105 mile drive you can take with over 75 outlooks along the way, over 500 miles of hiking trails. You get waterfalls & panoramic views of the park depending on what your vibe is, so we’ll have the best time planning your elopement here.
Cape Cod // Massachusetts
Looking for an epic east coast elopement location, but don’t necessarily want the adventure aspect? Cape Cod in Massachusetts is suuucchhh a beautiful spot, that requires little to no effort to get to! Depending on where you’re coming from, the rocky coastline can be a unique breath of fresh air. Plus the quaint villages, yummy seafood, and sandy beaches are enough to make anyone want to spend a weekend here. You can hop on a ferry to take you to Martha’s Vineyard, a cute lil’ island just south of Cape Cod! The irresistible charm of Martha’s Vineyard will have you head over heels in love with the area – not to mention it would be the perfect, relaxing, beachy honeymoon destination.
Pelican Cove // Florida
Ummm, destination elopement in Islamorada, Florida anyone?? If you want a luxury destination that’s warm, sunny, and sandy, boy have I got the spot for you. Pelican Cove is a beachfront resort that also has some adventure mixed in, offering legendary boat charters and tours. They also have a wide variety of water sports that you and your boo can enjoy while you’re there! There’s also multiple state parks nearby if you wanna hop over and take some epic elopement photos… I’m tellin’ you, you won’t wanna leave this place!
