The interior of this home is especially large and well kept making the rooms and grand entrance very fun to play around with. My favorite use of the home is the front green room, and the twisted stairs with a balcony. Keep in mind that a lot of these older homes have requirements that do not allow photographers, guests, or family to rearrange furniture. At The Governor Thomas Bennet House, it is super important to keep everything as is so that the history of the home is preserved.
The only “con” I would write for this venue is that as your planning team is setting up, there is not a huge space for outdoor wedding party portraits. The property is gated in completely, and as you enter it is fully in set up mode. There are a few nooks and crannies, but if you have a larger party, you may have to take images near the fence by the side entrance, inside, or plan for a quick alternate location.
