Last week I attended a styled shoot with Southern Bride Magazine at The Cedar Room! Usually, I only do about one styled shoot per year to get creative and brush up on skills, and this one was well worth it.
The venue was set up by Direct My Day Charleston, with the most stunning florals I have ever seen by Branch Design Studio. Color is popular for a reason this wedding season, and this set up proved why! When we walked into the venue, in the center of the room was a lemon tree with a twisted trunk on top of a large circular table, with a table setting to match. When I tell you my jaw dropped, my jaw DROPPED. It looked absolutely amazing, and both Branch Design and Direct My Day Charleston thought of a great concept that in turn won them “The Styled Challenge.”
I was impressed with the flat lay details as well, which is funny because usually I gravitate more towards wanting to photograph the couple themselves. This time around I found myself really loving what Southern bride had put together detail wise, and it was a lot of fun to photograph! Of all the styled shoot I have done, I would say that this one was one of my favorite so far. I really appreciated the time, care and attention to detail that all of the vendors put into their set ups, and how well organized Southern Bride was with the event.
Take a look at how amazing the floral set up was! If you’re looking for a Charleston wedding photographer, I’d love to chat with you! Or take a look at some more of my work!
